Navigating Nihilism

Various circumstances in life can give way to the impression that God is dead and or hope is gone. People want to believe something and we want to believe in something. But when your belief is let down, your expectation isn’t even entertained let alone met, and you feel as though you’ve exhausted your resourcefulness, the reality of your perception may be greater than the depth of your faith. Faith can be so nebulous because what is it anyway!? Something about a mustard seed depending on how you relate to the concept.

It’s supposed to be the intangible substance of hope. It’s supposed to be evidence. Evidence that you are doing something right, that the world isn’t against you, and that hopefully the desires of your heart will come to pass. Faith is intentionally counter to the material world. So, you have two choices when it looks like all hope is lost, you can believe that’s the case or you can look for the evidence that suggests otherwise.
