So much of the human condition revolves around conception. Some theologians refer to this as the seed doctrine. In the book of Genesis the first three chapters specifically one and three, highlight the role of the seed. Genesis chapter one talks about seed baring things generally, and their ability to produce seed that produces more of itself. A certain type of tree produces a seed that creates that same type of tree. Reproduction. The re-creation of or conceptual duplication of oneself.
If you are a human who has had a kid, your kid carries your DNA. They probably look like you and share in some of your proclivities. That is your seed. They are a reproduction or duplication of yourself. In Genesis chapter 3 verse 15 God curses the seed of the woman (humans) and the seed of the devil of all things. If you’re like me you may be thinking to yourself as I did, can the devil have kids?
Some of the struggle that you may face or are facing in your life stems primarily from the fact of your virility and or fertility. Genesis 3:15 reads as follows:
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” – Genesis 3:15 NKJV
