
I am coming off of a two-week break and I feel good! I wanted to get this to you all yesterday but that wasn’t in the cards. Right now for Life with Ken I am working on developing consistency. Well, in life period I am working on consistency. The hardest thing about consistency is itself. Consistency is one of those things that challenges you to be better. Sometimes you must overcome yourself to achieve a certain level of consistency beyond base routines and patterns.
Changing your patterns can be difficult for a myriad of reasons. For me right now the chasm between where I am and where I want to be is relatively stark, but I am working on ways to navigate those challenges. That’s the reward of consistency though, if you can achieve it, it will pay you dividends. I talk about mindset frequently and as it relates to being consistent there is a mindset that you need to deploy to reach that goal in your life.
In life you have habits and routines. This is what I refer to as baseline consistency. You don’t need to think too deeply about accomplishing the activities you do regularly. The challenge is when there is something new that you want to accomplish. Now you are introducing and trying to incorporate something in your life that isn’t for lack of a better word, normal. Becoming consistent in something relatively new takes time, trials, and effort.
