The Concerns with Clinging to Inefficiencies

Humans are the orchestrators of systems. Many of the things we do in a society are operationalized. Governments, school boards, being in corporate america in general and with respect to the specific operations of your company, and more are examples of things being done at scale and being done in a particular way. With that particularness and the fact that humans are involved there can be this mechanical connection that happens where one can receive a sense of importance. I don’t talk about this partly because I choose to avoid it but the idea that I am getting at is pride.

I pray that the Lord keeps me humble on a regular basis. Pride goes before a fall and sometimes a person’s expertise or sense thereof can lead them down this path. While the feeling of feeling important isn’t necessarily the most important thing, for those who are edified from elevation if they aren’t cognizant, then what’s meant to be a gift can turn into something else. Another common dynamic that can come from a system is the people part of that system becoming complacent.
