What works for someone else will not always work for you. When I started Life with Ken (and even still to this day) I would get people saying, “told you so,” “you need to quit,” and, “go get a job.” What people who would say those things to me did not and do not get is, I am compelled to do this. Just because some people do not like what I do does not mean I should stop doing it. In fact, in some respects it’s proof positive that I am doing the right thing. You would not have haters if you were not doing something hate worthy. Some people are genetically predisposed to hate.
Some people are influenced by a negative mindset to hate. Other people hate you because they are not you. People will try to bring you down because they perceive you doing something that they cannot or could not do themselves. Jesus was hated in his hometown. The Bible says a prophet is not loved in his own home. It also says that when Jesus’ neighbors heard about him, they said, “could anything good come from our town?”
