What does progress actually look like? How do you know if you are growing or not? Growing up my sister and I would measure each other’s heights to see how tall each one of us had gotten. We were trying to see our growth. Back in high school when I ran track, I could identify my growth based on how much faster I had gotten, how much stronger I had gotten, and ultimately by how many races I was winning.
In school you identify growth by whether or not you are permitted to proceed to the next grade. There is also nuanced growth. Growth that may not be celebrated or acknowledged but is evident to you in your own life. This is growth that takes place in your inner being – it is spiritual growth. You are a spiritual being having a physical experience meaning that all that is around you is merely a reflection of what is inside of you. Your life has a foundation. This means that what flows out of you is birthed within you.
You have the power to manifest, or create the life you want. What is, does not always have to be. Sometimes we get caught up in the wrong question: why something is happening to you does not always matter. Sometimes the more important question is: What are you going to do in response to the thing that is happening to you?
